An automotive manufacturing company with 3000 employees recently faced the complications associated with prescription care for the diagnosis of one employee with hypophosphatasia (HPP), a rare genetic condition that causes abnormal development of bones and teeth.
EpiphanyRx was at the automative manufacturing company’s side to deliver high-touch, high-quality service that saved dollars and bolstered care. To better manage cost, the client implemented the QALYiQ™ program that specifically targets high-cost medications. This intentional approach included:
- Hands-on support to help the affected member access funding through several auxiliary programs
- Outreach to both the member and the prescriber by a specialized team
- Implementation of dose optimization for additional savings
The program and intervention strategies saved the plan $190,000. The member received the therapy they needed for this rare condition. The approach reduced the financial strains and positively impacted member health.
