As President & CEO of Navitus Health Solutions, David provides enterprise leadership and strategic direction for Navitus, a long-time "disrupter" in the PBM industry. He is responsible for external relationships such as industry thought-leader engagement, media interaction, and potential and current client strategies and support. David collaborates with the Navitus Operating Committee to maintain its strategic plan and to develop and direct its goals, policies, and execution.
As part of the Navitus mission to transform pharmacy benefits to best serve all, he plays an integral role in building partnerships that enhance people's lives. As part of that mission, David led the team that formed Costco's minority partnership in Navitus. He also played a key role in Navitus' acquisition of EpiphanyRx, CareMetx, and Quality Drug Clinical Care, to expand the company's strategic footprint.
Prior to joining Navitus, David served as President and CEO of Dean Health Plan, where he led the operations and continued growth of one of the largest HMOs in the Midwest, with a network of more than 4,000 practitioners at nearly 200 primary care sites and 28 hospitals. He also served as Executive Vice President — Markets at Blue Shield of California, where he managed a nearly $20 billion, 4-million-member non-profit health plan. He previously held senior executive roles at Aetna, Coventry, Anthem, and Humana.
David has held leadership positions on a number of boards, including the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Labor-Management Council, and the National Conference of Christians and Jews. He earned a degree in accounting from the University of Louisville and has completed executive education at Duke University and Harvard University.
As Chief Growth Officer, Diana is accountable for business growth and expansion within markets that Navitus serves. She is a champion for customer centricity, providing leadership to further market-driven action, excellent service, and achievement of aligned goals. Her organization spans new sales and business development, proposals, marketing, implementation, client financial analysis, client services, and clinical account management.
Diana brings 30 years of experience managing accelerated business development in the health care space. Prior to joining Navitus, she served as Vice President and Chief Growth Officer at Aetna and Vice President and General Manager at Blue Shield of California.
She is a former director of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Alameda County, California. Diana holds a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside.
As Managing Vice President of Customer Success, Stephanie leads overall client strategy and service performance for all lines of business including Managed Care Health Plans, Self-Funded Employer Groups, and Government Entities. She is responsible for the development and execution of annual strategic business plans for all Navitus clients and for delivering products and services so our clients can deliver best-in-class pharmacy benefits while effectively managing total health care costs.
Stephanie has direct management responsibility for the Client Services team staff, including Client Services and Clinical Client Services. She has a passion for providing the best possible experience for our customers and members.
With over 25 years of experience in the PBM industry, Stephanie started her career in Account Management roles spending 12-plus years managing all types of employer and health plan customers. She has led Account Management and Sales teams for Elixir, Prime Therapeutics and Castlight Health among others. She has a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer, Brent oversees Health Strategies, Provider Services, and Lumicera Health Services.
Within the Health Strategies division, Brent’s accountability includes clinical and population health initiatives, drug utilization review programs, formulary and drug rebate management, and outcomes management. His accountability within Provider Services includes developing pharmacy networks that meet client access, discount, and quality needs. This includes procurement strategies for pharmacy services through retail, mail and specialty channels to provide the best value to clients and members. Additional scope includes Navitus pharmacy network oversight, including auditing and credentialing.
Lumicera Health Services is a wholly owned Navitus subsidiary and full-service national specialty pharmacy accredited by URAC and ACHC. In his role, Brent provides strategic direction and oversight, supporting Lumicera’s business model, its growth and regulatory needs.
Brent began his tenure with Navitus in 2004 and has served in multiple capacities, including Clinical Pharmacist, Formulary Program Manager, Director of Industry Relations and Contracting, and Vice President of Health Strategies. Prior to joining Navitus, Brent worked as a Drug Information Pharmacist at Dean Health System.
Brent is a licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin and a member of the Wisconsin Governor’s Task Force on Reducing Prescription Drug Prices, as well as an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, and the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy.
Brent holds Bachelor of Science degrees in pharmacy and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin — La Crosse, and a Master of Business Administration from Edgewood College.
Laura Jester is a healthcare and business executive with a passion for patient care and clinical excellence. She specializes in clinical strategy, health care innovation, and business relationships. In her current role, Laura leads clinical services including population health, innovative pharmacy programs, medical pharmacy, and Navitus’ Clinical Engagement Center (CEC) solutions for all lines of business.
In her 10+ years of specialty and clinical experience, she has led strategic planning, operations, people development, and performance benchmarking. She combines her passion for patient care and creating value through participation in quality initiatives, metrics development, and supporting educational opportunities through her work with the Pharmacy Quality Alliance and the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy.
Laura received her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences degree from the University of Nebraska — Lincoln and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin — Madison, School of Pharmacy. She is licensed in two states and holds a Certified Specialty Pharmacist credential.
Serving as Chief Operations Officer for Navitus, Shayna leads the Operations Division. She is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the eligibility, claims administration, customer care operations, prior authorization, and workforce management to provide exceptional service and excellence in clinical and cost outcomes at all client and member touchpoints.
Shayna brings nearly two decades of insurance and health plan experience to Navitus including customer service, corporate communications, operations, and enterprise transformation.
Before joining Navitus, she served as Chief Operating Officer for Included Health and prior to that, as Senior Vice President, Medicare and Specialty with Blue Shield of California. While at Blue Shield of California, she also served as Senior Vice President, Operations with a team of over 2,000. In that role, she was responsible for operational strategy and member experience. In addition, Shayna served as Vice President of Customer Service at Allstate, where she led the company’s 2,000-person customer contact center supporting the needs of Allstate customers across the company’s property, casualty, life, and retirement lines of business.
With a passion for service excellence, Shayna has implemented programs designed to transform the customer experience into one that is proactive, personalized, and meaningful. Shayna's dedication to the Navitus commitment will help bring humanity to pharmacy benefit management through greater transparency and affordability.
Shayna holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in English literature, a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Boston University, and a Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
As Associate Director of Client Financial Support at Navitus Health Solutions, Ryan Schmidt, PharmD provides valuable consultation to clients and market-facing teams regarding clinical market trends and cost saving solutions. In his role, he works cross-functionally between clinical and business partners to cultivate insights and inform value-driving initiatives. His responsibilities include serving as the clinical representative on Navitus’ Data Governance Committee and championing the development of Navitus’ annual Drug Trend Report. Previously, Ryan managed Formulary Services at Navitus, where he led analyses of clinical, claims and pricing data to expand formulary offerings.
Ryan’s depth of expertise is rooted in more than 17 years of clinical and pharmacy benefit management experience. Prior to joining Navitus, Ryan was a pharmacy manager in both retail and clinical pharmacy settings. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin — Madison and is a licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin.
Robyn Crosson is the Vice President of Government Relations at Navitus, where she provides strategic direction on government relations initiatives. She cultivates and oversees external relationships with state and federal governments, lobbyists and stakeholders.
Robyn has more than 20 years of experience in the health and insurance industry. Previous roles include Chief Deputy Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Insurance, Vice President of Benefits Compliance at ADP TotalSource, and Senior Associate at Proskauer LLP, where she focused on insurance, health compliance and securities.
Robyn holds a Juris Doctorate in Law from Indiana University.
